My Fresh Table—our year-round healthy cooking program—is the heartbeat behind this fundraiser series. In the program, parents learn simple, budget-friendly recipes, kids gain confidence at the cutting board, —because food doesn’t just feed bodies; it builds community, dignity, and joy.

Across four seasonal events, we celebrate how food nourishes families, strengthens routines at home, and connects our block to the broader West Side. Each gathering is intentionally designed to meet a different part of the family where they are—together and as individuals. Every event also features fun raffle prizes and opportunities from local partners.

Family Cookie Party Sat, December 6 & Sun, December 7 • 1:00–3:30 PM (choose one day) Location: A House In Austin, 533 N Pine Ave, Chicago, IL 60644 Festive PJs encouraged! Wander room-to-room: Santa’s Workshop crafts, the Gingerbread Kitchen for cookie decorating, a cozy Hot Chocolate & Cider Bar, upstairs photo backdrops, and an outdoor S’mores Station (weather permitting). Families take home a cookie box and a pint cookie-mix mason jar.

Valentine’s Couples Night Date: Early February Location: A House In Austin, 533 N Pine Ave, Chicago, IL 60644 An intimate evening for couples: chef-led hands-on dinner, DIY couples’ massage oils (take-home), a relaxing hand-massage demo, and photo-shoot style backdrops for frame-worthy portraits.

A grill master demos technique and timing; guests sample sides and sauces. We’re exploring two formats: an adult grill clinic or a family grill night—final format announced with the date.
